It is jointly published by the Geographical Society of Geneva and the Department of Geography and Environment at the University of Geneva. Its publication is annual and is supported by the City of Geneva. It consists of three parts: a thematic part including scientific articles;; a "Notes & Travel Writing " which makes its originality ; The Bulletin of the Geographical Society that chronicles its main activities and conferences. Strongly influenced by the naturalistic tradition in the nineteenth century, the Globe has become a review of predominantly human geography.Le Globe est une revue internationale de géographie fondée à Genève en 1860. Il est édité conjointement par la Société de Géographie de Genève et le Département de géographie et environnement de l’Université de Genève. Sa parution est annuelle et bénéficie du soutien de la Ville de Genève. Il est composé de trois parties : une partie thématique comprenant des articles scientifiques ; une partie « Notes et récits de voyage » qui en fait son originalité ; Le Bulletin de la Société de Géographie qui relate ses principales activités et conférences. Fortement marqué par la tradition naturaliste au XIXe siècle, Le Globe est devenu une revue à prédominance de géographie humaine
