This work describes and analyzes an educational practice provided during emergency remote teaching as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. It is a video lesson collectively constructed by teachers undergoing training in the Pedagogical Residency program, in which the theme “Kingdom of Fungi” was presented in a didactic sequence whose central axis is the evolution of living beings. With the suspension of face-to-face classes, contextualized and relaxed educational practices can bring students closer to the content worked on, which is fundamental for us to consider a critical and emancipatory education.
