Underwater photography suffers from strong color distortion due to light attenuation. The performance of existing color correction algorithms do not suffice for the various underwater environments, which lead to an instable image quality, and make the subsequent processing difficult. For this reason, a solution was proposed in this thesis, which combines various color correction algorithms through a multi-levels fusion process. The aim is to use the advantages from different algorithms, and then build an optimal result. Significant improvements of the image quality and stabilization could be reached by using this solution
