Background: Due to the curious nature of the pediatric population, burns are a common and leading cause of non-fatal and fatal injuries among children. Following these injuries, the impacts extend beyond the physical impairments that occur and often result in long-term psychological impacts for the child and their families. With a holistic approach to care, occupational therapy is fully equipped to aid in the mitigating of these impacts. Method: Through advanced clinical practice and the development of various questionnaires, occupational therapy interventions were explored and integrated to facilitate functional outcomes and improve mental health care.
