Automated production technologies for long fibre-reinforced thermoplastics can contribute to the application of lightweight components in the automotive industry. In the BMBF sponsored project InProLight, a process chain was developed within the last three years which enables the scrap-optimised production from the fibre to the welded and trimmed lightweight component
