Le tourisme comme enjeu dans la reconstruction post-catastrophe naturelle: Le cas de Saint-Martin (Antilles françaises)

International audienceTourism drives the economy of many Caribbean islands. It is the case of Saint-Martin, the Frenchpart of the island of Saint Martin (France)/ Sint Maarten (Netherlands). Particularly affected byHurricane Irma in 2017, Saint Martin is going through a period of reconstruction of its territoryand economy. Based on a fieldwork in Saint-Martin, this article focuses on this process, throughthe prism of tourism. Indeed, tourism allows an analysis of the complex interactions between theinvolved stakeholders, around the challenges and expectations of the reconstruction period.Le tourisme est le moteur économique de nombreuses îles caribéennes. C’est le cas de Saint-Martin, partie française de l’île franco-néerlandaise de Saint-Martin/Sint Maarten.Particulièrement touchée par l’ouragan Irma en 2017, Saint-Martin connaît une période dereconstruction de son territoire et de son économie.
