The interest of this book on public space design lies in presenting in integrated way of theoretical issues, working methods, and design results. The book introduces some recent theoretical issues of urban planning, defines and describes rational work processes, and illustrates design workshop results. The integration is important to gain a critical interpretation and approach to the public space in order to make designers more conscious of the influence their project could have on the urban environment
