The present dissertation is concerned with phenomena in the field of Random Walk in Random Environment (RWRE) and Branching Random Walks in Random Environment (BRWRE). RWRE models the movement of a particle, the randomness of which depends on the transition probabilities given at its present position. These transition probabilities are random themselves, and fixed before the start of the particle. An interesting question here is whether the projection of the particles position on a one-dimensional subspace is recurrent or transient, and if transient, in which direction.
