Einleitung: Intravenöse Immunglobuline (IVIG) werden bei diversen Immunmangelsyndromen wie auch bei verschiedenen Autoimmunerkrankungen seit Jahren mit großem Erfolg eingesetzt. Bei dermatologischen Autoimmunerkrankungen erfolgt die Behandlung bisher „off-label“ und in der Regel als second-line-Therapie. Der Einsatz von IVIG wird hier bei besonders schweren Krankheitsverläufen, therapieresistenten Fällen und Kontraindikationen gegen die bisherige Therapie erwogen. Die Verabreichung erfolgt meist in Kombination mit Steroiden und mindestens einem weiteren Immunsuppressivum. Die IVIG-Therapie geht mit vielen potenziellen Nebenwirkungen einher.
