„Legitimität und Legalität im Völkerrecht“ wurde 2009 von der Juristischen Fakultät der Eberhard-Karls-Universität als Dissertation angenommen. Hauptgegenstand dieser Arbeit ist die Darstellung der völkerrechtlichen Diskussion über Legalität und Legitimität angesichts der Entstehung supranationaler Organisationen und des mit ihnen einhergehenden Phänomens der global governance. Im ersten Kapitel wird der historische und philosophische Prozess beschrieben, in dem die Differenzierung von beiden Größen stattfand und zwar als Begleiterscheinung der Etablierung des Rechtsstaates im Europa.
