Technische Sauberkeit im Automobilbau - ein Thema für Fertigung und Qualitätssicherung bei der Herstellung und Weiterverarbeitung von Kunststoffteilen

In recent years, technical cleanliness has developed into one important quality variable in automobile construction which is also becoming extremely relevant to components made of plastic to an increasing degree. The article describes the background to the subject matter and examines the testing of this quality variable as well as its peculiarities, compared with other technical characteristics. One main focal point relates to the amendments which have resulted from the revision of the applicable "VDA 19" set of rules here. As a supplement to the testing of the technical cleanliness, the article concludes with a look at aspects relevant to cleanness in production and particularly in assembly which, especially in the case of plastic parts, entails a high risk of particle contaminations due to joining processes such as screwing, clipping or friction welding
