Letter Written by Leonard J. Altieri to the Bryant College Service Club Dated December 13, 1944

[Transcription begins] UNITED STATES ARMY AIR FORCES WednesdayDec. 13, 1944. Dear Bryant Service Club, I received your thoughtful gift a few days ago but I was unable to write and thank you until now. It’s swell to know someone is thinking of you when you’re far from home. I haven’t met any former Bryant students since I left Miami Beach. Chic Welgus [sic: Weilgus] and Bob Bernstein were in the same squadron as I while we were down there. In fact Bob was my roommate until he shipped out. Well I think I’ll sign off now and hope that the war will be over before another Christmas rolls around.
