[Transcription begins] Hq. + Hq. Sq. A. A. F. Bolling Field, Washington, D. C. Dec. 28, 1942 Bryant Service Club c/o Bryant College Providence, R. I. Dear Sir: Please don’t think that I am ungrateful because I didn’t acknowledge receipt of the cigarettes sooner. I was transferred from Camp Lee to Bolling Field. The cigarettes were sent to Camp Lee and had to be sent up here. I just received them today. Thank you very much for your thoughtfulness.
