Despite having generally excellent corrosion resistance copper is still susceptible to several forms of corrosion. To obtain accurate and current information about atmospheric corrosion of copper in Europe, two different approaches are implemented. The copper corrosion is assessed at 17 European test sites with different climates after 1 year exposure to weathering. These results are tested against to other available international corrosion datasets and the effects of different environmental parameters on corrosion are discussed.
