This research addresses individual differences and the process by which individuals resolve intrapersonal conflict. A typology of sources of motivation is utilized to evaluate individual differences in decision-making preferences. A forced choice questionnaire and a decisional balance sheet are utilized to profile individual preferences for motivational sources and their correlation with decisional choices in resolving intrapersonal. conflict. The methodology is cross-validated with prior measures of individual differences in sources of motivation. Additionally, the concept of positive and negative motivational sources is explored
