Gallery and museum colleagues from the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA), Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD), Detroit Artists Market (DAM), Wayne State University (WSU) Galleries and College for Creative Studies (CCS) Center Galleries will share their organizations’ missions and discuss how they interact with one another. Individual gallery and museum fundamentals will be defined, including the following: budgeting, marketing, exhibition and season design, and facility operations. Each organization’s mission will be clarified by addressing their advantages and limitations. An emphasis on education will follow.
