The inclusion of SCC or self-consolidating concrete is an innovative way to capitalize onthe demolished coarse aggregates in concrete. This can be obtained by crushing of old concretespecimens, beams, slabs, etc. This methodology was first introduced in Japan due to the scarcity andunavailability of labor. Since then it has gain popularity and has become a trend in the constructionsector. Its characteristics and properties are more or less similar to that of conventional concrete.
