BACKGROUND:The Lancet Commission on Global Surgery has identified workforce development as an important component of National Surgical Plans to advance the treatment of surgical disease in low- and middle-income countries. The goal of our study is to identify priorities of surgeon educators in the region so that collaboration and intervention may be appropriately targeted.
