El Estado del Arte. Investigación formativa en la Educación Superior: State of the Art. Formative Research in Higher Education

The present State of the Art is the result of a qualitative documentary research, carried out by the students of the Basic Education Career of the Technical University of the North. The main objective of the article was to investigate the evolution of formative research in the Higher education through the methodology of a state of the art to finally develop an interpretation from different dimensions, for this reason documents published in different countries on this subject and in different fields have been taken into account. The research was carried out in two stages corresponding to the heuristic and hermeneutic methods, in the first stage an information gathering of different scientific articles and books in digital format was made, in the second stage an analysis of what was investigated was carried out, and finally interpreted the results obtained from books and magazines, as main results were obtained that formative research is a primary area in higher education but still has certain shortcomings in its application, therefore it is concluded that in higher education institutions research it must be a transversal axis during all levels of study.El presente Estado del Arte es el resultado de una investigación cualitativa de tipo documental, realizada por las estudiantes de la Carrera de Educación Básica de la Universidad Técnica del Norte. El artículo tuvo como objetivo principal investigar sobre la evolución de la investigación formativa en la educación superior mediante la metodología de un estado del arte para finalmente desarrollar una interpretación desde diferentes dimensiones, para ello se ha tomado en cuenta documentos publicados en diferentes países sobre dicho tema y en diferentes ámbitos. La investigación se realizó en dos etapas correspondientes a los métodos heurístico y hermenéutico, en la primera etapa se hizo un levantamiento de información de diferentes artículos científicos y libros en formato digital, en la segunda etapa se efectúo un análisis de lo investigado, y finalmente se interpretó los resultados obtenidos de los libros y revistas. Como principales resultados se determinó que la investigación formativa constituye un área primordial en la educación superior pero aún tiene ciertas falencias en su aplicación; por lo tanto, se sugiere integrarla como un eje transversal durante todos los niveles de estudios
