BackgroundMagnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and 2-[18F]-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (FDG) positron emission tomography paired with computed tomography (PET/CT) are two commonly used imaging modalities in the complicated diagnostic workup of osteomyelitis.
