Introduction: Chlamydia trachomatis (chlamydia) is the most commonly diagnosed bacterial sexually transmitted infection (STI) worldwide. The advancement of molecular techniques has made chlamydia diagnostics infinitely easier. However, molecular techniques lack the information on chlamydia viability.
