BACKGROUND: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are associated with cardiovascular disease and control gene expression and are detectable in the circulation. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis that circulating miRNAs may be associated with atrial fibrillation (AF).
