We evaluated the cross-sectional associations of N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) with cardiac structural and functional abnormalities in a cohort of patients with chronic kidney disease without clinical heart failure, the Chronic Renal Insufficiency Cohort (n = 3,232).
