International audienceThe controversy of the Fukushima post-disaster incites the Japanese art scene to affirmative collective or individual approaches linked to contemporary social events. Operating a return to an existing actionism and activism by renewing political consciousness, these new artistic forms give rise to lively debates on social networks, beyond even the simple question of the border between art and politics. These critical politico-artistic interventions linked to nuclear news in Japan can be perceived as collective or individual acts in reaction to the prevailing accepted and dogmatic media systems by inscribing themselves as alternative “media”: a new activist consciousness in the era of the nuclear anthropocene is born.La...
