This work focuses on the spectroscopic analysis of nonlinear optical (NLO) signals generated by nano-objects with a non-centrosymmetric crystal structure. An experimental optical scattering set-up, based on a tunable femtosecond laser source (700-1300 nm), has been optimized to probe NLO resonances from these nano-object suspensions.We first present work on two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide nanosheets.
