Les matériaux composites sont fréquemment retrouvés dans le secteur naval et dans les énergies marines renouvelables respectivement pour des applications coques et pales, ayant pour avantages principaux un gain de poids et une résistance à la corrosion vis-à-vis des matériaux métalliques. Cependant leur comportement mécanique à long-terme est encore peu maîtrisé lorsque l’on aborde les notions de couplage hygro-mécanique.
