Comme son titre l’indique, cette thèse tâche à esquisser une poétique de la métaphore dans un corpus d’œuvres issues des camps de concentration nazis et soviétiques. Si nous sommes à même de parler de métaphores, c’est que nous sommes dotés d’un « fonds commun minimum » de paradigmes en matière de leur reconnaissance, ce que s’attachent à démontrer nos analyses dans la première partie de cette thèse. Cette étape plus taxinomique est indispensable afin d’examiner, dans la deuxième partie, la manière dont le contexte, tant référentiel que verbal, favorise de lectures dé-métaphorisantes en suscitant l’étonnement du lecteur et une plus profonde compréhension de cet univers de violence extrême.
