Tom Calvert is the subject of this interview. He took a leave from his administrative roles at SFU in December 1997 to be the Vice President, Research, at TechBC. One of the first 10 or so TechBC employees, he started in the "Gateway" offices. After SFU assumed administrative control in 2002, he became the Academic Program Director for the Interactive Arts and Information Technology streams. He worked in administration in the School of Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT) and remains a Professor Emeritus for that school
