Cuba today is immersed in a very intense process of perfecting its agricultural production structures with the goal of making them more efficient and sustainable in their economic administration and in their social and environmental management. Agricultural cooperatives in Cuba have the responsibility of producing on 73% of the country\u27s farmland. Their contributions are decisive to developing agricultural production and to ensuring more and better food for the population, in addition to reducing high levels of food imports.
