This paper examines the role of wireless handheld devices in the Pakistani healthcare environment using a quantitative approach. This study identifies a list of barriers and drivers, and a factor analysis of the qualitative data identifies that key determinants such as “technology management”, data management”, “improved outcome”, “efficiency”, and “application limitations” were concerned with the usage of wireless handheld devices in the Pakistani healthcare environment. The results of the study are further analysed through regression analysis, on the basis of factor analysis.
