Traumatic Brain Injury (Under the direction of Daniel Montoya PhD). Valid protocols from patients assessed for residuals of MTBI (Mild Traumatic Brain Injury) were analyzed to determine if WMS-IV (Wechsler Memory Scale – Fourth Edition) VPA (Verbal Paired Associates) and CVLT-II (California Verbal Learning Test – Second Edition) scores are equivalent in a clinical population of active duty US Army soldiers. WMS-IV scores were recomputed with CVLT-II substitutions per the WMS-IV manual. Paired-samples t-tests and Pearson\u27s r Correlation Coefficient were used to test the hypothesis that VPA standard scores and converted CVLT-II scores are equivalent in patients with MTBI. This hypothesis was not supported by the results. Thus, substitution...
