2D layered metal halides can be added to 3D perovskites to improve the long-term stability of hybrid perovskite solar cells. The presence of the low-dimensional material alters the film formation mechanism. In this issue of Chem, Kanatzidis and collaborators investigate in situ the crystallization mechanism of mixed-dimensional 2D/3D lead-based perovskite films.</p
