Dystonia is a movement disorder in which patients suffer from involuntary repetitive movements and/or abnormal postures. In addition to the problems with movement, patients also have non-motor symptoms, such as psychiatric symptoms, sleep problems and fatigue. These non-motor symptoms often remain underexposed, but they do have a great influence on the quality of life.In this dissertation the non-motor symptoms are investigated in three forms of dystonia: dopa-responsive dystonia (DRD), myoclonus dystonia (M-D) and cervical dystonia.
