Introduction: The attention paid to the inclusion of children with Profound Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities (PIMD) in regular school settings has increased over the last few years. An example of this is 'Together to School' (TTS), a Dutch project in which children with PIMD who were supported by professionals of a day care center are integrated into a regular school. Although practitioners are positive about the project, it is unclear what factors contribute to the success of such projects.
