Er zijn verschillende onderzoeken gedaan op het gebied van enzymatische synthese van polyesters, polycarbonaten, polysaccharides, polypeptides en polyamides, en een aantal hebben reeds industriële toepassing gevonden. Lipases zijn de meest gebruikte katalysatoren bij de synthese van polyesters en polyamides. Er zijn inmiddels uitgebreide studies naar de kinetiek en het mechanisme van de lipase-gekatalyseerde synthese van polyesters gedaan, maar de enzymatische synthese van polyamides heeft vooralsnog minder aandacht gekregen. Daarom richt het huidige onderzoek zich op de enzymatische synthese van polyamides, zodat het reactie mechanisme in de toekomst beter kan...
