We analyse energy spectra of electrons resulting from ~r'+ collisions on a polycrystalline W-surface, measured by de Zwart. We ascribe structures near 212 eV to LMM Auger transitions in the projectiles, although thetabulated Auger electron energies are lower by - 7 eV. We obtain agreementbetween calculated and measured spectral electron distributions by takingtwo effects into account: (i) electrons are assumed to be ejected fromcompletely neutralized projectiles and (ii) their energy is increased by theaction of a surface charge -Z
