This dissertation proposes an integration of two prominent conflict theories: the interdependence theory of Deutsch (1949, 1973) and the conflict grid theory of Blake and Mouton (1964, 1970). According to the former theory people pursue goals through the employment of activities. There is a dyadic conflict as soon as two individuals perceive that their mutual activities are incompatible. The actions the parties take to handle the conflict are determined by the perceived relation between the goals of the parties. Zie: Summary
