An experimental programme to investigate the residual material properties of fire exposed cold-formed steel elliptical hollow sections has been presented in this study. The test specimens were made of cold-formed steel elliptical hollow sections (CFSEHS) of the mild steel grade. The CFSEHS members were heated inside a gas furnace by generally following the ISO-834 standard fire (1999, [1]) curve. A total of 4 sets (set-1, 2, 3 and 4) of fire exposures with peak temperatures of 300 °C, 550 °C, 750 °C and 900 °C was carefully selected for this investigation.
