Pertinencia y demanda de la carrera de medicina en la universidad laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí zona norte

Throughout this time, many public and private universities have been created, and through the Higher Education Law (LOES) approved in 2008, characteristics that universities must meet to offer careers and be accredited were established. Among these characteristics are relevance and demand. In this context, this research had as a problem to know the lack of relevance and demand studies in the northern area of Manabí for the creation of a medical career, with the purpose of identifying these two characteristics in this part of the province. The correlational methodology was used to compare and project the data, the bibliographic, analytical and quantitative methodology that analyzed the sources, references and results; with statistical procedures such as linear regression, the questionnaire supported the search to know how many doctors are required per group of citizens adequately. The survey technique helped the linear regression analysis of the data obtained to forecast the existing demand for the medical career, since the proportion between the population and interested high school graduates is very high. The statistical results and qualitative characterization obtained helped to know the short-term projection to create the career. It was temporarily concluded the existing interest and demand for the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro to create a medical career in the Northern Zone of the Province of Manabí.A través de ese tiempo se han venido creando muchas universidades públicas y privadas, que mediante la Ley de Educación Superior (LOES) aprobada en 2008, se establecieron características que deben reunir las universidades para ofertar carreras y ser acreditadas. Entre esas características tenemos la pertinencia y la demanda. En este contexto, esta investigación tuvo como problemática conocer la falta de estudios de pertinencia y demanda en la zona Norte de Manabí para la creación de la carrera de medicina, con el propósito de identificar estas dos características en esta parte de la Provincia. Se empleó la metodología correlacional para comparar y proyectar los datos, la bibliográfica, analítica y cuantitativa que analizó las fuentes, referencias y resultados; con los procedimientos estadísticos como la regresión lineal, el cuestionario fundamentó la búsqueda de saber cuántos médicos se requiere por grupo de ciudadanos adecuadamente. La técnica de la encuesta ayudó al análisis regresivo lineal de los datos obtenidos para pronosticar la demanda existente de la carrera de medicina, pues la proporción entre pobladores y bachilleres interesados es muy alta. Los resultados estadísticos y caracterización cualitativa que se obtuvieron ayudaron a conocer la proyección a corto plazo para crear la carrera. Se concluyó de forma temporal la pertinacia y demanda existente en que la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro crea la carrera de medicina en la Zona Norte de la Provincia de Manabí
