The medical writing field is a growing industry with robust opportunities for writing students. Being a niche yet important area of science, medical writing is often overlooked as an area of study at the undergraduate level. In order to provide this opportunity for interested students, as well as diversify the course curriculum at Elizabethtown College, a study was conducted into the medical writing field. The focus of this project is to research the local medical writing industry, along with graduate programs in the field, to better determine how an undergraduate 200-level medical writing course could be incorporated at Elizabethtown College.
