TINJAUAN ISLAM TERHADAP PEREMPUAN BEKERJA

This paper is a review of Islamic law concerning working women. Many people still believe that women are second-class individuals who cannot seek employment outside of their homes. Regardless of whether there are, many of them are still under the cynical view of a conservative society that considers that women's duties and obligations are only done from within their homes. In some countries, such as Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, restrictions on working women have even become written rules that must be followed. The concern is what will happen to Indonesia as a country with a Muslim majority. The goal of this paper is to investigate the law of working women from an Islamic perspective. Based on the descriptive qualitative research method and the sociological normative approach, it can be concluded that the law of working women is permissible. Islam even supports women who work to ensure the financial independence of their families.Tulisan ini merupakan tinjauan hukum Islam terhadap perempuan pekerja. Sampai saat ini masih banyak anggapan bahwa perempuan adalah makhluk kelas dua yang tidak mendapatkan tempat untuk bekerja di luar rumahnya. Sekalipun ada, masih banyak dari mereka yang mendapat sorotan tajam masyarakat konservatif yang menganggap tugas dan kewajiban perempuan hanyalah dari dalam rumahnya. Di beberapa negara seperti Arab Saudi dan Afghanistan, pembatasan perempuan bekerja bahkan menjadi aturan tertulis yang wajib dipatuhi. Lantas bagaimana dengan Indonesia yang juga berpenduduk mayoritas Islam. Tulisan ini bertujuan mengulas hukum perempuan bekerja dalam pandangan Islam. Berdasarkan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan pendekatan normatif sosiologis dapat disimpulkan bahwa hukum perempuan pekerja adalah boleh bahkan Islam mendukung perempuan yang bekerja guna menopang kemandirian ekonomi keluarga
