VARONES EN ENTORNOS LABORALES FEMINIZADOS: UN ANÁLISIS CON PERSPECTIVA DE GÉNERO

Society has been creating images and symbolisms that have shaped the various social roles and the different occupations differentiated between women and men with respect to the tasks they perform for the labour market. The aim of this research is to analyse the experience of a group of men working in feminised work environments. The type of study is descriptive with an interpretative approach, the technique was an in-depth interview and the instrument an interview guide. The findings reveal that the supposed "power" advantages that men have position them as slaves to stereotypes, prejudices and stigmas for working in highly feminized environments. They also make visible how discriminatory practices and abuse are inherent to the human condition, and the role of education is fundamental to transforming gender relations and breaking the straitjacket that constrains people's rights and work opportunities.  La sociedad ha ido creando imágenes y simbolismos que han conformado los diversos roles sociales y las distintas ocupaciones diferenciadas entre mujeres y hombres respecto a las tareas que desempeñan para el mercado laboral. El objetivo de la presente investigación es analizar la experiencia de un conjunto de varones que trabajan en entornos laborales feminizados. El tipo de estudio es descriptivo con un enfoque interpretativo, la técnica fue una entrevista a profundidad y el instrumento una guía de entrevista. Los hallazgos revelan que las supuestas ventajas del “poder” que los hombres tienen los posicionan como esclavos de los estereotipos, prejuicios y estigmas por laborar en ambientes altamente feminizados. Además se visibilizan cómo las prácticas discriminatorias, el abuso y el maltrato es inherente a la condición humana y el papel de la educación es fundamental para transformar las relaciones entre los géneros y romper la camisa de fuerza que constriñe los derechos y las oportunidades laborales de las personas. &nbsp
