This paper investigates the dissemination and use of quality management practices in Vietnamese SMEs, examining the reasons that limit the use of such methods. We used a stratified random sampling technique to select SMEs based on geographic and economic criteria. We submitted a structured questionnaire to companies, using a 5-point Likert-type scale to measure the importance attributed to the various elements considered. Overall, the research findings show that SMEs' knowledge of quality management tools in the Vietnamese economy is still limited.
