The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role of topical 0.1% diclofenac in prophylaxis in patients who had undergone cataract surgery and were at risk for cystoid macular edema (CME). Our results revealed that patients who received diclofenac and used topical corticosteroids far a short period (3 weeks) had a lower CME incidence compared with patients who used topical steroids for a longer term (8 weeks) without diclofenac
