Sverigedemokraternas migrationspolitik : En studie av partiets politiska förslag under perioden 1989-2012

This essay focuses on the Sweden Democrat’s migration policy and its evolution from 1989 up until today. The purpose of this study is to longitudinally examine the party's migration policy proposals to see if, and how, the political ideas have changed over time. Idea analysis has been used as method, and the texts have been analyzed by using three dimensions. Depending on the outcome in the three dimensions, one out of eight political types is possible. The material has partly consisted of eight different programs issued by the party, and partly by a selection of the party's parliamentary bills on migration. These come from parliament in 2010/11 and 2011/12. The essay’s results reflect that the Sweden Democrats' immigration policy in general has been consistent during the period 1989 - 2012. Some changes can be discerned, but there are few proposals that have been moving in the three analytical dimensions. The analysis describes the party's immigration policy on the whole, as cultural, exclusive and universal. The Sweden Democrats' policy proposals in 1989-2012, are described as the policy of assimilation, with a few exceptions. In their motion proposal in parliament, the party implements the previously formulated proposals in the earlier programs. The motions that the party has written about immigration during the years 2010/11 and 2011/12, shows great similarities with the immigration policy program from 2007. Syftet med uppsatsen är att longitudinellt undersöka partiets invandringspolitiska förslag för att se om, och hur, de politiska idéerna har förändrats över tid. Som metod har idéanalys använts. Texterna har analyserats med hjälp av ett analysverktyg bestående av tre dimensioner. Beroende på utfallet i de tre dimensionerna blir en av totalt åtta politiska typer möjliga. Materialet har dels utgjorts av sammanlagt åtta olika program utgivna av partiet och dels av ett urval av partiets riksdagsmotioner kring invandringsfrågor. Dessa kommer från riksdagsåren 2010/11 och 2011/12. I uppsatsens resultat framgår det att Sverigedemokraternas invandringspolitik på det hela taget har varit konsistent under tiden 1989 – 2012. Vissa förändringar kan dock urskiljas, men det är få förslag som har rört sig i de tre analysdimensionerna. Analysen beskriver partiets invandringspolitik på det hela taget som kulturell, exkluderande och generell. Av de åtta politiska typerna kan Sverigedemokraternas politiska förslag under 1989–2012, beskrivas som assimilationspolitik, med några undantag. I sina motionsförslag i riksdagen har partiet genomfört de sedan tidigare formulerade förslagen i de olika programmen. Det framgår stora likheter i det invandringspolitiska programmet från 2007 och de motioner som partiet har skrivit kring invandring under åren 2010/11 och 2011/12.
