Introduction: Tobacco use and substance addiction are the leading causes of general health allover the world. The aim of this study is to investigate the substance addiction levels and causesof dentistry students.Materials and methods: Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Dentistry 1st grade students(n=48) were included in our study. Participants were asked questions about their demographiccharacteristics and substance addiction. Statistical analysis was completed using the chi-suqaretest and IBM SPSS Statistics 24 program.Results: It was observed that the mean age of the participants was 19.22, 46% (n=22) werefemale and 54% (n=26) were male.
