The situation of Turkey in information and communication technologies (ICT) for economics side: The comparative Study with OECD countries

We are living in a changing world. And, over the years, particularly over the past few, we have been conditioned to acclaim the term globalisation. In the 1990s the entire planet is organized around telecommunicated networks of computers at the heart of information systems and communication processes. Information technology is not the cause of the changes we are living through. But without new information and communacation technologies none of what is changing our lives would be possible. Scientific advances and technologies are important drives of recent economic performance. These changes imply that science, technology and innovation are now key to improving economic performance and social well-being. In our study, first of all, literatur review is given about ICT and productivity. Then, Turkish Economic structure and historical changes of this structure are explained. In Turkish Economy, denoted the importance and share of ICT economies. While explanation, looked out from macro economic wiev. The wiev of some macro economics variable, it is compared these variables for OECD countries. And, it is put forward revealed comparative advantage ratio of the share of ICT goods trade. Finally, comparative advantages between the countries are pointed out
