Long-Term Results of the Arthroscopic Meniscectomy Following Non-Traumatic Tears Due to Mucoid Degeneration and Traumatic Tears

BACKGROUND/AIM: In this study, we aimed to radiologically and clinically compare the long-term results of arthroscopic meniscectomy in patients with non-traumatic meniscal tears due to mucoid degeneration (MD) (Group A) and those with traumatic tears (Group B). MD of the meniscus may indicate degenerative osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee or it may be a manifestation of a tendency to OA.
