Purpose: The aim of this study was to assess the effect of lower extremity muscle fatigue on balance in healthy subjects. Materials and methods: A total of 55 students (30 males, 25 females) with an age range of 19-25 years have been included in the study. Lower extremity muscle fatigue has been induced by Wingate anaerobic force test. Balance was measured with modified Flamingo balance test after, before and 5 minutes after Wingate anaerobic test. Results: In the balance tests performed before, after and 5 minutes after the Wingate anaerobic test, duration of balance recorded before the test significantly decreased when compared to time recorded after the test.
