The influence of England on the economic formation of Brazil is well known. These induced marks are easily seen incurrent times. Even after independence, Dom Pedro I found himself pressured to keep the nation subordinate to the British in favor of international recognition, a fact that was reflected in the trafficking of enslaved Black people. The treaty signed in 1826 was not only about the renewal of a mere British interest, but also of an abolitionist agreement that transformed Brazil in an economic and social character.
